Door & Gate Engineer

An up-and-coming door & gate maintenance specialist is currently looking to expand its engineering department, targeting an additional Engineer to cover new contracts in West Yorkshire. The company has grown significantly in recent years and is now looking to expand further.

For the right candidate, the company is open to discussions about a Midlands-based Engineer, with a view to growing an existing client base in the region and developing a local branch in the future.

As an Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automatic doors manufactured by companies such as Assa Abloy, Record, Geze, Dorma, Stanley, Tormax, Horton, Label, and more.

Servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of industrial door systems such as roller shutters, speed doors, rapid rollers, grilles, curtains, sectional doors, steel doors, and occasionally docking equipment.

Servicing, maintaining, and repairing gates and barriers manufactured by Came, BFT, Faac.

Fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment.

Basic electrical wiring.

Adhering to BS EN 16005 and DHF standards.

The successful Engineer will have:

Experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of door systems.

Preferably installed automatic swing and sliding doors.

A valid EN 16005 certificate or have held one in the past.

A DHF gate diploma.

A clean driving licence.

A CSCS Card.

In return, you will receive an excellent remuneration package which includes:

Hourly rate of £16.17 - £17.51 per hour.

42.5 hours per week, with overtime at time and a half after 42.5 hours.

Paid door-to-door travel.

1 in 6 call-out rota (£100 per week standby + £50 per callout, plus time and a half door-to-door).

Premium overtime rates (Time @ 1.5, double time on Sundays).

Company van and fuel card provided.

Workwear and tools provided.

Work phone provided (Company laptop in time).

28 days holiday, increasing by 1 each year up to 32 days.
